IT package to be announced soon

Kathmandu, June 22: Minister for Information and Communications Sherdhan Rai has said government was to soon announce a new package on IT.

He shared this information addressing the Susmit International ICT startup Award-2016 programme organised by the Living with ICT, an IT magazine, here today.

The Information and Communications Minister said the package was being brought aimed at developing the IT infrastructure and expanding the Internet service. He stressed on the need of linking ICT with the country's development.

On the occasion, Minister Rai honoured four ICT Start-ups with the ICT Startup-2016 Honour. They are Sasto Deal Pvt Ltd, the Cool Techno Lab Pvt Ltd, the Yellow Nepal Pvt Ltd and the Smart Samaj Pvt Ltd.

Similarly, computer scientist Muni Bahadur Shakya was also honoured on the occasion.
