Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN)
Robotics Association of Nepal (RAN) is a national non-profit association of Nepal that provides a platform for students and enthusiasts to come together in an effort to promote, educate, explore, and compete in the field of robotics.
We integrate principles from all disciplines of engineering in the development of our robots, and provide valuable hands-on design and building experience to our members that cannot be learned in the classroom. The main vision of the association is to expose everyone to the latest advancements in robotics technology by focusing knowledge sharing and hands-on experience through team spirit. It also provides a comfortable platform for enthusiasts to learn more about robots’ technologies practically in order to enchant their engineering skills by engaging in annual competitions the association facilitates, working on group projects, organizing workshops, documentary, presentations and seminar.
The association involves itself in a continuous process of learning and exploring the possibilities in the robotics field nationally most of which comes from the hands-on knowledge and experience in building robots. We are always looking for motivated individuals who have an interest in robotics to join hands to make a dent in the field of robotics.
WHY? ROBOTICS WHY?
The robotics program is a multi-discipline program. It can be incorporated into every subject area. It offers the opportunity to integrate technology with the curriculum and the students love it.
The robotics program facilitates teamwork, critical thinking, problem solving, applying science principle, and mathematical solutions. The program integrates reading and writing, presentation skills, research, and creativity. The skills learned via this program can be readily applied and transferable to work in any industry. In a nutshell, this program prepares students for the workforce of the 21st century.
Motto of RAN
To act as a common platform in the field of Robotics and Technology in Nepal.
Who are our supporters?
Currently we are supported by NAST (Nepal Academy of Science & Technology), RCSA (Robotics Certification Standards Alliance), Clean Concept Group, ABLab Solutions and www.educationsansar.com as web partner.
Also about nineteen engineering college inside and around Kathmandu Valley and their students support us.
Objective of RAN
